Leadership Transition Announcement

Friends,

At Harmony, we are grateful for the dedicated leaders and volunteers who help us live out our mission of advocacy, education, and support for those who are queer and allies within Community of Christ. As we continue this sacred work together, we want to share an important leadership transition within our Board of Directors. We do so with deep appreciation for faithful service and hope for the future of Harmony's ministry.

Effective June 1, 2026, Andy Markle has resigned from the Harmony Board of Directors as Congregation Support Coordinator. He has been a valued member of our Board since 2025 and has used his talents to our benefit. We appreciate his courage, conviction, and commitment he brought to the work of Harmony. We wish him many blessings as he pursues other areas of ministry. Thank you, Andy!

We are pleased to announce that the Board has appointed Jami Smith to the position of Congregation Support Coordinator for the remainder of the 2025-2026 term. Jami has served on the Harmony Board as Vice-President and we are so grateful she agreed to return in this role. Please be patient with us as we make this transition. Some requests for information on our Welcoming and Affirming Program may be slightly delayed. 

This fall we will be seeking candidates for this position in our elections. Please consider joining us in this important and sacred work.
